I am not saying that this is what happened, but you have rights as a landlord, too, and you shouldn't feel scared out of using them ion order to make sure to separate the scammers from the real cases.

@Patrick Domond You need to boots on the ground an agent that can get in there and take photos....just playing the bidding war game give me a bigger offer sight unseen doesn't usually work out......you gotta know what numbers work and what numbers don't work...don't be scared to walk from the deal and follow up with her at a later date. 

There are a lot of people (some on this forum) who will try to scare you into thinking that Airbnb is being shut down all across the globe and that you will have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines if you list your property.

I am extremely conservative with my credit card use, and as a result have great credit that I would be scared to put in jeopardy for a potential real estate deal. 

I figured if I see and hear the worst and that doesn't scare me away (or I recognize maybe how the opportunities for those situations could be mitigated with more time/effort up front), then I was willing to explore this more.
