If I might say, HGTV is meant to be entertaining, real life is "considerably" different. 

I assumed they meant the heat was out, but when I asked what was wrong with it, they told me "I set it to 60, but it's only 70 inside...".

That meant our units had air conditioning and individually controllable heat and the tenants were paying for the utilities!

This is meant to keep me out of disputes between residents of Townhouses that I own, where I may not also own the adjoining unit, and so they are not also my tenants.
