Maybe some cosmetic repairs would be ok, but everything that's supposed to be there should be there i.e. flooring, cabinets, electrical, plumbing, ect.

Let alone that security deposit isnt really meant for damage... come on... even in Ca. where rent is like $4k for a house... if they damage even one system (floors, paint, counters etc) it doesnt cover it...

Run tons of houses and learn how much basic things cost like on average $3/sq ft for flooring and painting indoors.

Carpet is not the greatest color but in excellent shape except in 2 bedrooms where it doesn’t match and is older Is it stupid to rip out all the flooring and lay down tile over the entire house?
