Some primary areas I'm interested in:-Thoughts on Section 8 multi-family-Investors interested in areas surrounding Mercedes-Benz dome (English Avenue, Vine City...AKA The Bluff)-Target financials-New constructions vs. fix up vs. as-is-Syndications/fundraising/private money/loans/etc.

@Jonathan Depa I'm not sure that short term properties are dealt with any different than long term tradition rental properties, but in 2009 Fannie Mae increased the number of properties that a bank or financial institution can finance to 10. 

People will continuously give their opinion but at the end of the day only your actions matter.

You can also look online for columbus and see if there has even been an application submitted. normally the city gets back to the contractor or architect and they forget to take some small action that needs to be taken to get the building permit approved. what I will say is i'm doing a new construction and it's taken at least a few months, but for a small renovation it should be much quicker than a few months.

Bad credit indicates a lack of financial discipline which is essential for success.

At this point I have zero experience investing in real estate investing and I've only been financially aware (i guess i'll call it that) for about a year. 

It's simple but 99/100 people won't do what it takes.It's all simple but people don't take action or do the work nor get fully immersed in this.
