I know she works hard, has money and has time but I know she is short-tempered and has no business skill.The partnership worked fine for 2 years but in the end the challenges of the various projects made her tempers flare daily and she didn't understand the long-term business strategy so we amicably put together an exit strategy for her.You know your relative so evaluate them objectively.

I've been contemplating getting my RE license for quite a while as there are many opinions on the books and blogs I've read that highlight specific advantages of being licensed, especially if I want to acquire more investment properties (rentals, flips, and perhaps wholesale deals) in the future.A few unique variables:1) my parents own rentals that they'd like to make sure they pay me as the listing agent if and when they are to start selling these properties in the years to come.

If I was to hire a financial planner, I'd expect him/her to be fee only, w/ no products to sell, only services.I'd expect competent advice in the following areas:- investment diversification targets based on my age and investment objectives- tax avoidance strategies- asset protection via proper legal entities- never to hear the words "mutual fund"- how to optimize retirement plans to balance liquidity requirements vs. tax savingsd
