You can find someone on BP, or at the local REIA meetup in that area that is a 3rd party to the renovations (not the PM, not the contractor, and not the agent), fill them in on the scenario, and ask them if you can "have them stop by the property every so often and take some pictures and check on a specific thing or two that is relevant at the time.
