I'd pick curtains that aren't too expensive in a neutral color that will look good with most furniture/other colors. 

However, computer and office furniture are NOT part of the home office deduction.

The only annoying thing is that if you don't check it as part of your move in process then sometimes tenants leave large furniture pieces behind....
