You literally have to "uncheck" all those boxes before you can make a reservation, thus it is forced on the guests, which drives up the cost of their stay.In the COVID pandemic, Airbnb took it upon themselves to move the homeowner into the position of insurer - refunding $ millions to guests, while the trip interruption insurance that they, themselves often force placed on these guests, conveniently didn't cover pandemics.
