The original inherited 4 out 6 residents were older single ladies that lived at this property for 20yrs, 16, 6 & 3 yrs & living on fixed incomes like on social security. the other 2 inherited residents was a single lady in her 20's that managed a local convenience store & the other was a 50yrold couple that is a mechanic & i can't remember what she does for work.for the new residents. i was able to help one of the elderly single ladies get a local housing voucher so she could stay living at this apartment & afford a nice place to live.

Went to Smokey's about 2 and spent the next 2-3 hours walking the store and spending the 15K furniture allowance negotiated with the sellers of our cabin.

I've volunteered and worked my way up arduously since 2012 and have learned a lot helping run and manage this store with it's founder Brad and his mother Diane.

For furniture, following the closure of the last local store, I find RC Willey in Reno to be the go-to source. 

He buys paint at the bm store on 79.

One is a double  that I live in and the other is a commercial unit with a store underneath.

If you need something to help pinch your nose while you pull the lever -- the whole field stinks, TBH -- clothes pins are super cheap at the dollar store...

@Ian Gilligan Go to the local Sherwin Williams store, look on their posting board for painters or ask one of the salespeople.

@David Czech I love that you are storing cash away in a reserve account.The only thing that scares me about this post is that sentence about saving for a catastrophic event.What we think about we bring about and what we focus on expands.

The property is next to the Main Street and accessible to schools, stores and fire station.
