The tenant would need me to be the bank for them due to them being self employed and not  showing a strong tax return year after year.How would you structure this so everyone is protected?

BP Fam, Anyone know of a small bank in Philly who considers folks who are self employed?

Unfortunately with the market being 1/10th the size of America (population being 1/10th) there is less demand for Canadian specific content.

What are the pros and cons of such deal versus a comparably sized and located investment in a classic multi family (...where you own the building and land directly).Any resources you guys have that I can educate myself on?

We call it the ping-pong table, as that's about the size.  5-feet is too far to reach when passing out food to those on the other side. 

Similar sized homes sell for 600- 850k in good condition.My idea is to get a loan(suggestions on type welcome) for the renovations.
