There's a decent possibility of the unit not getting rented for your allotted time, given the way AirBNB/VRBO algorithms work, and you'd still want it to have decent furniture, pots & pans, etc. so you may end up spending more than you expect just keeping it in good shape.

I just went through the same thing but for minor stuff like loose toilet, missing outlet cover, no vent in half bathroom and water stain in ceiling.
