I am originally from Atlanta and the combination between the nature parks, cleanliness, and the friendliness of locals quickly convinced me to make the move more permanent in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach markets.

Flipping is a good way to make quick income, and perhaps use towards other investment opportunities, but after all the work, high construction costs, unforeseen issues and fees sometimes it may not be the most fruitful investment. 

Apples to oranges.

Probably best spent on other ad methods that are more fruitful.

STRs are way more fruitful than traditional LTRs - in the vast majority of scenarios.Best of luck to you and everyone else looking to invest in STRs!

It is really apples and oranges in a way. 

Again, I agree not to approach a friend who cannot afford to lose the money, but if you have a friend or family that would help with cash, it tends to be lowest hanging fruit. 

You are also spot-on about the difficulty in finding fruitful deals.
