That's my thought without reviewing the contract, which hopefully had this covered on what would happen.I'm not a huge fan of lease options but typically there is a substantial deposit made for the option (typically non refundable).

The differential has to be substantial for it to matter much.You also buy yourself a lot of flexibility to make lower payments and I think almost everyone on this board can beat the interest rate when investing money.

hmmmm... more data is needed to qualify this assumption as well as help figure and further guesstimate how employment influences and is influenced in such a trend.so here's a question for the more seasoned investors (maybe specifically in the socal market, but also to those outside the market)... what marker do you figure new construction pencils?
