If another apartment deal came along, I would have to be incredible for us to buy it.

For me I simply did not know anything else.. started selling RE at 18 and never looked back.. investing was not an interest to me per semaking money was though to support family put kids through collage without them having to take on loans .. live in a nice home and environment  travel and never work for anyone.. 

There is an incredible amount of equity to be created as well as some very good cash flow during ownership.
