For what it's worth regarding my property, these uncommon types of paired SFR units typically sell for less than a comparably-sized traditional detached SFR in my area, as much as 25% less... but the rents are barely 10% less, and they rent for more than condos (which often have about the same monthly payment when you factor in HOA,) making them prime buy and hold candidates, in my opinion.

It has a 1.5 car detached garage and an unfinished attic that I would be turning into an addition bedroom.

@Ethan Cooke , I was planning to do exactly what you stated at the end, one of my units are currently airBnB'd and I was thinking of adding a detached unit, considering them as "together" and AirBnBing the second one as its own unit even though the lease is technically for both units (lease to my own building by my own company that is).

Just so far beyond the houses you'd get for $150K - and it is on 2 beautiful acres with a two-story barn shed, a two stall attached garage, and another detached garage for toys.

With each property we were able to get contracted there was a diff obstacle to overcome as well as a lesson learned.
