It is about 30 miles from end to end and there are various types of investment opportunities.

I am comparing opportunities in my home country with opportunities in the USA and I believe the latter offers more in terms of risk/rewards.Example in Belgium:In a median city you can buy a decent small apartment (700 sq feet) for ± 280.000 EUR (+ 10% costs and registration rights) = 308.000 EUR (=$358.820).

In C/D areas you must treat your tenants like children...bad children.By the 2 year mark if your property is paid off your cash flow will be reduced to almost zero due to the rent being eaten by paying for the opportunity value of your equity.

But we don't want to pass up a good opportunity (we plan to sell it in the next few years) because of ignorance of this process.

I am definitely anticipating declining them due to her report but just figured it was a good opportunity to see what all there is to consider and do before going through with the declination.

However, in your experience, how much of that truly influences opportunity within an emerging market?

Will you be looking for "turnkey" properties or value-add opportunities?

Despite this, I'm a bit ahead of the curve and am looking for guidance as to where to go next.Currently, I work for a luxury brokerage out of San Diego as an assistant to a top producer providing marketing and management of all digital platforms; I received this opportunity through DMing multiple agents on Instagram hoping to get a job after my return from a study abroad as a way to learn about real estate.

It's quite overwhelming and the thought now is that I should save a good bit of money first, but I hate to miss out on any opportunities in the short term if I don't need to be.
