So my question is, I have about 100k in school loans, should I save every dollar I can to put towards down payment and renovations (just do minimum payments for loan) for when I get to Arizona and buy house...or should I look into what the market is, how much the house will be, and kind of budget a way of saving just enough to have x$ for renovations and nonpayment and try to cut down on my loans as much as possible.

@Joe S.I don't think you can look at it like a code to crack, more like cutting through a padlock with a hacksaw.

Too many people think they can cut PM out and just do it from California to save 7-10% it doesn't work well!

@Kel BalaseMy parents purchased a personal residence in Katy, TX.New Houses(constructed after 2000) can be very affordable given the school districts, safety, age of home, etc.I don't invest here but I can see it working for others.

Do you use any cut offs?

If it is an infestation and the home wasn't habitable I would cut your losses and get them their deposit back to avoid any kind of action against you.

These people will never be happy so perhaps it would be worth letting them out of the lease and cut bait on this thing.
