Milwaukee got hit hard in the 70s and 80s when manufacturing jobs moved overseas, it took 50 years to recover and that has been going so quietly in the backgound that nobody took notice.

Hi everyone, I'm planning to move to Cleveland,Ohio and had recently purchased a property.

A little bit about my experience in Real Estate… I started a couple years ago doing some house flips in Detroit ( It was a 2 year plan) then decided to sell everything, moved to Washington DC which can't afford anything in the DMV area but last year I purchased a very nice 3500 SQFT Duplex in Shaker Heights, suburb of Cleveland.

I planned to move it into LLP after a year due to Freddie Mac restrictions.I’ve done my own research and seems the rates are worse then what I’d get as a 2nd home for LLP. 

A $100k, move in ready house in pretty much any major market, will be in some of the highest crime areas of town.  

And you do have to recapture depreciationBut all in all this can still be a wonderful move to eliminate at least a part of the gain.

So I've poked around real estate investing, and I understand there are support services that might be useful for the real estate industry such as clean up services when old tenants move out.
