Also zoning may be hard to come by - in NJ when I finished the basement in my SFH, it had to go through zoning approval to be sure I wasn't adding a kitchen and trying to make it a multi-family, since that area wasn't zoned for it.

I like west side suburbs like Parma Parma heights.i tried to go to the area like Lakewood and Strongsville but never found a good deal. you will get better yield on eastside but my preference is west.2) Pro/cons of single family vs duplex vs quadplex in these areas?
