I had an issue where one of the directors of a foreign foundation that was a part owner of one of the companies that was investing in my deal (see, like three levels up the chain of ownership) had the same name as a politician in that country, but we were able to clear it up.  

I feel that going up the chain often allows me to purchase the paper cheaper than any other method and then I can control the paper.

I also set up cameras on occasion (I really need to do this every time not just sometimes, and on major stuff with street side access, a temporary chain link fence around the property can also help.
