Accountants are in such demand, that the best are not even accepting clients half the time.The other problem I see often with accountants on here is that they specialize in larger investors, and have really high prices when you as a smaller investor do not need all the bells and whistles.Another thing I see is folks thinking they need to have a tax professional in their state.

The social game is getting professionalized and like short-term rentals in general, you now have to bring your A-game.

I imagine if I cut back a few hours at work I could easily qualify for real estate professional status. 

I agree with a lot of the advice above, but it is important to develop a professional relationship that lasts so the mutual benefits can continue.

First thing to NOT do, is compare your journey with anyone else.
