Look for the things that are surface level that turn normal buyers away (smells, messes, etc.) 

He isnt going to sell you a Clayton Morris pile of **** and claim it smells like flowers.

I'm going to paint all the walls anyway and at some point lay down lvp so if the house needs work I smell a discount.

The smell permeates into the common space and even into our unit.

I mopped every floor.I still could smell it.

All of sudden, the heat and air condition does not work, the stove does not work and tenent stated that nothing is smoking or smells burnt but notices  melted plastic near the heating system.
