This is the point which you have it all ... freedom, time, money, and a growing business.   

Generally growing population is good, but I also don’t think minor decreasing population is that big a deal.

We are always looking to meet more local investors so we can all get better together and grow in this market.

We would love to connect with other local investors like yourself to grow business, share insights, and simply do more deals.

That means that our options are either to let the lease expire naturally, or to evict the tenant for violating the lease for smoking pot inside / covering smoke detectors and risk having them become a tenant at sufferance or destroying the property.

When we are little we say to others….”When I grow up I want to be a….”Doctor LawyerBankerPresidentEtc.Then when we grow up, we realize that in order to be all the above we need to have a plan.

I’ll be holding on to this property and pass it on to my kids to use when they grow up.

As you're seeing, of course, things outside anybody's control can impact this - and Hawaii also has the potential to get affected by hurricanes, on the natural-disaster front.  

But I suspect their broad nature makes for a good book recommendation.

Very sad to hear but sounds like you will grow from this and probably smile about it in 5 years if you choose to "move on" and make great things happen.
