Contractor doesn't need to be 203k certified, but has to fill out contractor packet, W-9, have HIC License, and carry a minimum of $1 million liability policy and have the lender listed as the certificate holder on the policy (not $500k) which cost me an other week to correct during closing.3.

@John FlanaganI agree 100% to all that you wrote and I kind of had guessed/understood your situation is vis-à-vis Peru and commented accordingly, frankly more for the benefit of everyone else.Aside from the risks, what you're doing sounds really exciting and you're gonna learn a ton at the very least and hopefully have fun in the process.
