@Brian Eastman I'm well aware of the potential pitfall of accidentally generating a taxable event, as I used to work in a stock brokerage as a principal, and had to have the same difficult conversation--often with someone who had taken too long to do a rollover.

If you're newbie and not chasing any fancy strategy, your best bet is to save your money and NOT get a mentor.At this stage of the cycle, you will be hard pressed to find good wholesaling opportunities (very few people will sell for a discount to market value).
