I've asked if he's considered selling one of his units but I have yet to hear back from him.I have no idea where I would find information for a scenario like this but if he agrees to sell and more so - an owner financing agreement, the above scenario is very possible and I would appreciate it very much if anyone has any insight to this short of referring me to a lawyer.

Renée if you want to look at lease-option assignments in Texas I would look at John Jackson as I trained him in 2002 and lease options if he's done over 500 of them since the new laws in 2005He is the best trainer in Texas on lease options@John JacksonAlso keep this in mind that many agents and many lawyers think the lease options are illegal in Texas so follow Johns lead, get his training, and make a Ton of money

Most title companies have a lawyer that can draft the paperwork and set everything up.Another option is to look for a generic land contract/contract for deed which would need to be notarized by both parties.You might also want to do a title search at the clerk's office or ask the seller to show a clear title to you.
