The cleaner the sale the better with related interests involved.Not a problem as to the new basis, it's just claiming a profit on a sale to yourself issue.Use a general warranty deed to sell to your entity or (which I don't care for) you and your partner jointly.

Only issue is they do NOT qualify for factory warranty and good luck getting an aftermarket one.I have found that shopping around really hard using sites like everycarlisted.com and searchtempest.com will yield good deals with none of the headache.

Also with all of the foundation repairs I have dealt with, they come with a life time transferrable warranty.
