We are a major market and have some needs that may diverge from homeowners in terms of getting the work done fast (to reduce vacancy and/or boost tenant satisfaction) and are often looking for more durable work (as opposed to dream home finishes) to harden rentals...Remember the average landlord with 5 rentals has 5 roofs, probably a half dozen or more toilets, 5 washers/dryers/stoves/hot water heaters, and thousands of feet of flooring walls (interior/exterior), dozens of windows, etc... like the homeowner many times over... tons of wear points and moving parts...

On a couple of houses that I've had there were (IIRC) 4" X 12 with 1" X 6" laid diagonally over those.On one of those I had bad 1" X 6" but everything above those was good because we had replaced them a few years before when we replaced a leaking shower pan.

The other beauty of it is that I build high quality construction, 2 x 6 exterior walls with blown in foam, 5/8's decking, architectural shingles, upgraded fixtures, expensive toilets that never clog, low-maintenance exteriors, etc.

Nothing else is backed up, and flushing the adjacent toilets didn't cause water to back up into the tubs, so it's definitely just a localized drain issue at the tubs.
