My last install a few months ago I used one from Lumber Liquidators that was 10mm and had beveled edges so you don't get the characteristic peak at the joint from the planks flexing.

There are many factor when setting up a joint LLC including if someone dies you will have to know how to proceed with 2 different types of LLC partners; 'Right of survivorship' or 'Joint tenants in common' .
