A little about me:  I work in the Oil and Gas Industry up in Northern Alberta, Canada.

@Brie Schmidt   correction  I know you already started your empire congrats on expanding it.I just wanted to illustrate how important it is to have the three C's if your going to succeed and build a portfolio using the best rates and terms.. you Need Character ( banks look at this these days don't think they don't) Credit ( obvious and you need stellar credit ( walk from bank loan and your toast) and Capacity ( need to prove that you Actually make money in the industry have reserves and can weather some storms which we all know every day is not sunny).

If it weren't so pathetic it would be funny being able to see through the stuff spun out on new folks.These fundamentals are the foundation of everything done in the industry.

Unlike an asphalt roof, slate roofing systems can be taken apart, repaired, and put back together using any original, undamaged materials.The biggest issue with slate these days is finding a slater.

You'll be doing the industry, the community and yourself a favor.

Personally, I found value in taking a local in person class as the instructor provided insight on the local market that wasn't available in the book and I was able to network with others who work in the industry.

I am really passionate about real estate and looking to get into the industry.

What the local economy based on, is it one industry or broad based? 

I have been in the construction industry since 2005.
