I cannot stand when these companies try to BS their customers into believing that their new unwanted policies are put in place as a benefit to the customer.

Safety stuff, sure, but buildings were built differently through the decades.It looks like I could be tied up for 30 days minimum to get the first inspection, and then fix whatever else, but if they tell me I have to gut the basement or something, that would be a nightmare.

Not trying to scare you, things should work out just fine, but letting the inspectors know you take them very seriously is a very good idea because with the banks, they adopted a new policy the last few years where they enforce the codes to the letter on any bank owned house anywhere in the city rigorously.
