Looking for a middle to upper class neighborhood surrounded by other middle to upper class neighborhoods (dont want paradise in the middle of the ghetto) within a 15-25 minute commute to downtown.Where would you consider a good place to raise your family?

There are a lot of things to think about when dealing with a property that is not within a reasonable distance from you.

Also just across the border in South Carolina (many commute back and forth) the Savannah River site announced it was going to create 3,000 jobs.

I would like to keep something in the whereabouts of my daily commute.

I have owned several properties in Louisiana and decided managing myself distance is a pain.

Aroundme (and Yelp) to find restaurants and gas stations in unfamiliar neighborhoods, as well as distances to nearby hospitals, supermarkets, and theaters when talking to prospective tenants.

Potential tenants want to know if it's close to good school systems, mall and shopping centers, do it have easy freeway access or how far is the commute to and from work?
