I have no moral objection to wholesaling, but do you really think this wholesaler is going to pay the many thousands of dollars and many months or years it will take to get in front of a judge to try to explain that he was selling you something he didn't own, and you owe him money for it.

I value a real property attorney's perspective, just don't want to set aside thousands for retainer just for exploration on whether I have standing.If that is not an option, it seems to me the next option would be to incur all of the costs, try to consolidate the parcels with the highway taxing districts and then seek out a permit from the city to build an Accessory Dwelling Unit under their standards.

Keep in mind at least to the extent with civilians are selling their owner occ home .. many have thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of possessions.. you let the public just walk through your going to have big problems..
