An MTR doesn't have to have mass curb appeal, it has to provide a sense of comfort and home on the inside.

It turned out there were aluminum wires so we upgraded the electrical service, removed all of the walls so we could rewire the house (4 bed 2 bath).

If its an older home w 2 wire service you’ll need to have PGE upgrade to 3 wire service.
