That day, I called a local builder who does good work for relatively low prices (he owns his own equipment outright and gets outstanding deductions on appliances, and building materials).

The materials for 10 squares shouldn't be over 1500.00, assuming he isn't putting insulation under it.

Taking longer holding costs out of it, I’d wager I’d still be paying a good chunk more for materials.

But the family has been there for over 10 years and basically he does labor upgrades if we buy materials, and they are very clean.

The repairs you mentioned seem modest, so i would recommend using your evenings to shop contractors and finding deals on the material you will need.

Placing personal material items as any form of priority is not a path to success when starting out.

Oftentimes, these folks are looking to dispose of excess material from the project sites and/or have stock piles at their yard.
