Did you buy with the intention of doing STR?

If you want to scale up and buy more faster putting less down is the best plan.

We have been contemplating our strategy to start our business by having my sister buy her first home locally here in Connecticut, a duplex as her primary residence and live in one unit with our mother, while renting out the other unit to a resident, and be able to also rent out her single-family house as a short term/midterm rental to traveling nursers/working professionals on furnish finder.

I am thinking about starting with Wholesaling and/or Flipping, moving to Buy and Hold strategy.

Finding lenders and mortgage brokers that specialize in DSCR loans will help with getting better terms as they have investors comfortably buying these loans after the loans fund which helps replenish the lenders cash for more loans to investors.

It is a 3/2, roughly 1750 sq ft, and on a small lot so there is no chance to build an ADU.

Investment Info:Small multi-family (2-4 units) buy & hold investment.

Been looking into buying either an apartment down here or a house or multi-family in a city like Titusville or Fort Myers. 

If I’m buying a STR property now, what do I have to keep in mind if I also plan on buying a primary residence next year?
