The property you are looking at sounds like purely a long term appreciation play and yearly tax depreciation.

The appreciation will help your ROI during the slow months, and since its not purely a travel based economy long term outlook is good.

I am not planning to be in the property, purely an investment. 

It's purely an ego, marketing aspect of with no money operators calling themselves investors.
