There was a similar discussion on here recently.I don't understand why so many people on here bad-mouth gurus and coaches and then turn right around and encourage newbies to go to every REIA meeting that they can find.  

Bigger Pockets has provided an oasis in the sea of garbage in the world of real estate investing, and that is why I am so encouraged with my experiences here thusfar.

Just wanted to say thanks to the everyone, those I met at the Chicago REA and those I interact with online.

I would encourage you to think about this from the perspective of where you want to be and not of where you are now.  

Thanks for the encouragement @David P My goal is to have 5 rentals in the next 3 years. 

It's not like rentals require regular daily or even weekly interaction - that's the point of being a landlord rather than starting some other type of business.

I like doing it on Turbotax because I get a real feel for how things are done and how they interact, but do you think I can get a CPA or EA just to troubleshoot as a consultant, rather than actually prepare the returns?
