I'm meeting with a accountant next week for rental issues regarding taxes, but a lot of the lending is out of his scope.

When we didn't show for the meeting as we were inside the unit, the management member never got out of his car to check the unit to make sure it was presentable. 

If one is questionable just go get a cuppa coffee and you'll meet 10 more.

Also, the city is pretty strict as far as code violations.

You can stop and meet the subs and the GC.  

However your state law may exempt you if you follow strict rules/guidelines.

The reason for this extra step (which a lot of people don’t think is necessary), is even the craziest and weirdest people can sound good on the phone.The in-person coffee meeting shows: 1.) if they are willing to invest in you, and; 2.) allows you to really get a good gut-check on them and make sure you feel good about proceeding.
