I guess I was thinking that perhaps they were being pressured to liquidate the estate and that a fast cash offer would be appealing rather than drag out and wait for five houses to be sold separately.

On my nine unit here in Berwyn, we raised the deductible several thousand dollars and that made a huge difference. 

It's better to just rent and wait for when the numbers make more sense.

The problem is, if they haven't signed up yet, many of those programs have months-long or even years-long waiting lists.Bottom line though is they cannot stay in your property rent free. 

You can just wait 3-6 months and have a new appraisal (this is what we did and it appraised fine the 2nd time) done or just get another appraisal now. 

Google the question, or wait to see what people on here know about the issue I'm sure someone on here is bound to have an answer.

Pretty good leverage over them as they don't want to lose that housing voucher....NY has a loooooooong waiting list to get back on it..

Right now im in the process of waiting until around October so that all of my personal income is available for investing and I will be 100% debt free minus car loans and house.
