Hi Dane,Lets talk YOU for a moment.Every high income physician I know makes that income by putting in the hours.And then there are the required "Unwind" hours that increase with the increase in billable hours.And then there are the "getaways" //recreational travel to recharge your batteries// if you do that.Look at your daily, weekly, and monthly current time commitment and figure out where the time will come from to handle a psudo-hotel business.How many times must you take a call for the business when you are treating Mrs.

And yet, a lot of people, including my husband and I, are willing to pay 5 star hotel prices to stay on this couple's sheep farm for a night.

Many tenants think renting a house is like staying in a hotel and expect everything to be handled for them.Others will push as mush on you as you will let them.You need to better establish boundaries to avoid this. 

What would be an efficient and effective way to analyze a small hotel?

You could potentially try AirBnB for those that are coming into town - but you will be competing against Winstar who offers most people complimentary stays in their hotel if they give Winstar enough of their money lol.It's an interesting concept/idea and I have thought about it myself.

No hotels, vendors, or any events going on... but great for a family looking for a quiet beach setting only an hour away from the Orlando attractions.  

That said I’ve wrestled with cable myself Bc when I’m at a hotel, I do like having cable news and hgtv which I don’t have at my house.

Do you want a badass vacation STR that you yourself can go utilize so you don't have to pay for a hotel?

They way I see it, no hotel lets you past the front desk without an ID, same here.
