However, some people use this strategy if they have cash from somewhere else (another sale, another investment that cashed out, a high paying contract job, etc) and they want to stash the cash for tax purposes.

Nothing that has come on the market seems to meet my criteria, and I would ultimately end up paying around the same per month as I am paying in rent right now if I bought something,which defeats the purpose. 

Talk to your tax professional if the purpose is to minimize taxes.  

I would like to have the following features:-Automatic payment withdraw -Reporting to the credit bureaus -ability to receive a receipt after the payment is posted -reporting for tax purposes
