Since your profile is devoid of any info, I can’t tell what your background is or if you have any experience, but I’m assuming you may just be getting started.

I could easily create a profile, market a property I do not own or even have access to, and collect payments for months before the first guest would show up and discover the house is actually occupied by an 87-year-old homeowner.

When you find deals cheap, you have more options: you can wholesale for a quick few bucks, fix up and refinance for a rental or rehab and sell to make the bigger kinda quick bucks.Your profile says that you are getting your masters in Business.

Ask about the tenant profile (market rate or govt assistance, young, old, kids, single, common employers, etc).

Also, my company invests in apartment syndications, but the profile only allowed me to pick real estate services, and that is significantly different than what we do and I don't see how to change this, and nothing pops up in the help.
