As others have mentioned, if the 1099 is issued to you for an account that was supposed to be opened for your 401k, this is an issue that should be addressed with the bank.

Not a lot of details but if this place has the potential of 3500/mo and they're giving it up for just 55k....it must have some serious issues that must be addressed beyond the scope of practice for a beginner.

Daniel,  In Indiana our MLS is connected to Realist, a property tax info site.It allows us to search specific areas and to pull addresses of ownersbased on many criteria.

We plan on changing the location of the business address to avoid this tax.

Stadiums and conference centers often prove to have negative net economic effects - basically government giveaways to private corporations that don't pay for themselves.  

Easy Reno of existing house and add a duplex extension on the rear to then sell two addresses/properties for the price of buying one!
