Ask for a copy of his filed tax return.

Would be easy to add your husband and then you'll have additional income and the debt issue probably goes away but obviously if he wants nothing to do with it then you could just not involve him :)  Depending on how you file taxes, it may still show up on the tax returns - so he may not be able to fully avoid being associated with it. 

Being able to file for eviction legally and actually processing it and getting the tenant out are two different things. 

Was the contract notarized and filed with the county?

A class action suit needs to be filed, listing all or many that were unable to get due rents because government failed to act as they are required!

The taxpayer can redeem at any time for the first three years, and can still redeem at any time afterwards up until the investor files a judicial foreclosure lawsuit and the judge grants the judicial foreclosure order.
