In my market unless it's a higher end home we don't usually stage with furniture but I do go in with plants and decorator items (ESPECIALLY THE KITCHEN & BATHROOMS)  so that my professional photographs look great.

They may suffer from other weather related problems like tornados and hail though so check insurance rates.The cons is that you can get ripped off a lot easier and for a lot more money since you are not there to monitor what is going on.

So counterintuitively, while the island is less affected than the Riviera itself (but still too much affected to my taste), it might suffer the most as it's 100% dependent on tourism and getting on an isolated island where you can't go to the beach because it looks horrible, stinks and is hazardous to your health wouldn't make sense and there's little else to do that doesn't involve the sea.Now that you bought the property, don't lose sleep over this and make the best of it.
