Hi Everyone,I own 8 units in Cleveland and recently my property management company has been choosing vendors that charge extremely high prices for any fix. 

Blaming Loopnet for an allegedly bad property manager is like blaming Zillow for an allegedly bad realtor...I'm sure if Loopnet was stupid enough to give ransom money to BBB, BBB would take down the bad reviews and un-filter any good reviews (which is the entire business model of BBB).

So, often enough the LLCs are not registered if they just own property rather than manage or something more involved.

Do you intend to manage the assisted  living yourself, do you intend to hire management, or do you intend to master lease to an established assisted living management company? 

After speaking with our banker, a title company, my accountant, legal, and others, it was determined that the insurance companies are not fond of rental owning companies doing more than just owning and managing rental properties due to liability risks. 

We personally do this for the properties we manage! 

As far as what I learned, I prefer STR’s and managing it myself vs a PM.

For out-of-state STRs investors, is it normal for a cohost / property manager to insist on creating an OTA listing on their account to better streamline their systems?

This mostly relates that adding a small unit in small counts is very expensive development.
