They are pressuring us to commiting to bringing the money and stating that they must know and they will not hold the house for us.

I know taking the next big step into purchasing will always be a risk, but I am trying to gauge between risk and recklessness.

Have clear conversations with each resident to gauge who will be willing/able to assist under 2 inches. 

If you speak with a lender, they should give you estimated monthly costs and mortgage so you could gauge that against the potential rent of the other side.

Maybe the son would even be into making a few bucks here and there doing some yard work, cleaning, pressure washing, etc. 

See if there is anything the attorney can do especially to pressure the sellers.

Just curious, particularly since you are at the logging level, where do you see upward pressure on price coming from?
