Basically, they are counting on the fact that most people are ignorant or lazy and won't fight the value, bend over and pay the higher taxes.  

People must check a place visiting at different times of the day; specially late at night in week ends before investing.I rented my apartment in a quiet beautiful winter afternoon many years ago in west Harlem, but when summer came, nights became real terrible.drug dealers and people hanging out outside until very late at night makes it a real nightmare, specially in the last couple of years.311 know me by name by now.

So maybe if my lazy butt has some success with off market stuff, I'll have too much to work with and will wholesale them (cheep) to you!!  

The police force has good leadership and picks their battles; they don't bother with low-violence offenders like the corner weed dealer and don't bother slapping misdemeanors on people drinking or smoking on their porch on a Sunday afternoon, but they do go after violent gangs and groups aggressively and have made progress over the last couple of years.

THOUSANDS of times, I have walked through the front door of section 8 housing and seen first hand, THREE GENERATIONS OF PEOPLE UNDER ONE ROOF, whom have been convinced by government that they are so stupid, so lazy, and so devoid of potential, that they are unable to earn a living in the United States of America.

I think switching GC/contractors is a last resort, because it will cost you a lot more money in the end, but if he keeps pushing back like this with stupid lazy a$$ suggestions I would start considering it.
