Chad:  Ironically, the Schedule 1 banks are not getting that lenient - the government has even pulled back the qualification and other regulations to where they were a decade ago to try and prevent a fiasco akin to what the U.S.A. suffered though in 2008/2009.I too am also very surprised, and wonder if the bank has placed a second (HELOC) on the other property, but perhaps a registered lien in Québec is sufficient to secure their position.Lisa - are you dealing with Desjardins?

I know one of the first things I do when I'm responsible for water is to change out the toilet "guts" with the new versions that prevent water running due to a leak.

A quicker, cheaper repair like installing an adhesive surround over the existing tile that would prevent the problem from getting worse until the unit is vacant.   

Although the commission split does vary from state to state, they always implement a "cap" so after you pay a certain amount of commission to the company, it "caps" and you receive 100% commission.

If I purchase with a contract for deed and the deed and mortgage stay in sellers name, will that prevent the bank from calling the sale due.
